Yr1 Forest Schools - February 2016

Year 1 braved the drizzle to create their very own birds nests.
They used hay for the main part then scavenged for leaves, twigs, feathers and moss to line the nests.
We discussed the various sizes of nests and enjoyed looking at the different colours of wild  birds eggs.
We then manipulated clay to form our eggs.
Children used the natural resources to change the texture and colour of their eggs, some making their nests, so full they over flowed!
We then enjoyed listening to the bird song coming from the wood to the side of the field.
Everyone thought it sounded beautiful and we felt Spring was truly in the air.
