Yr4 Forest Schools - Willow 'Spirit of the Wood'     November 2016

The Green man or 'Spirit of the Wood' was first seen in Celtic times. His image is still found all over the world within many cultures and religions. He symbolises natures rebirth and controls the seasons.
The children collected natural resources to create the Green man's face and then secured it to the tree trunks within the grounds of the school.
