Summer School Trips

Whipsnade, Woburn and Warwick get a visit from Firs children

Year R Trip
The Pine children had a lovely day on Thursday 15th June when they visited Woodside Farm. They greatly enjoyed the trip, being very excited by the tractor ride and especially liking their contact with the animals on site. Thank you to all the parents who helped with the visit and a big thank you to Shaline Coombes and all the YR staff for organizing such a great learning experience.

Year 1 Trip
The Year 1 trip to Warwick Castle was a fantastic occasion and the children were incredibly excited to see a 'real castle'! They were thrilled to see the giant Trebuchet and loved the birds of prey demonstration. Y1 staff will be building on this experience in the work they will be doing on the features of a castle in their history work over the next few weeks. Thank you to all the parents who came with us on the trip and a big thank you to Allison Brady and all the Y1 staff for organizing such a great day.

Year 2 Trip
Year 2 had a great day at Whipsnade Zoo today where the children had the opportunity to add to their learning about African wildlife and the science of animal habitats.  We had lovely weather and we would like to thank all the
parents who helped with this trip. Also, a big thank you to the year 2 team for organising such an enjoyable day and to the children for being so well behaved.
