Year 1 Visit National Space Centre

learning about the solar system; presenting weather reports and viewing stars through telescopes and observatories!

On Thursday 17th May, year one visited the National Space Centre in Leicester. The children departed with much excitement, which was heightened by the sight of the rocket tower upon arrival! They enjoyed learning about the solar system; presenting weather reports and viewing stars through telescopes and observatories.

They touched asteroids; saw rockets and even had the chance to launch one themselves!

The planetarium show was fantastic and lunch seemed a highlight for many. The day finished with excited faces peering into their souvenir bags, to examine their goodies.

A great day was had by all - and the children behaved really well. Thank you to the parent helpers for supporting us on the day.

Further photos from this trio can be found in our Year 1 Space Centre Album.
