Opening our New Library

Thank you Mrs McGovern, representing the PTFA, for cutting the ribbon on our official open day

The School Council were very excited to take part in the grand opening of our new school library on Wednesday. We were joined by Mrs McGovern, representing the PTFA, who cut the ribbon to officially open our library.

I would like to say a very big thank you to Mrs Brady, our Literacy Leader, who has worked so hard, to catalogue all the books, record them in the new online ‘Reading Cloud’ and design the layout for the shelves. We would also thank the PTA volunteers who have supported Mrs Brady with this work.

After conducting the grand opening of our library, Mrs McGovern, who is the PTFA Treasurer, joined our School Council meeting to discuss what the PTFA do and to gather future fundraising ideas from the children. The children were very excited to have a special visitor and Mrs McGovern left with many ideas to share with the PTFA. Thank you to her and to all our School Councillors.
