The Parent Forum is a consultative body that supports the partnership between parents and school, that is so important to us at The Firs.
The Forum usually meets at least once a term.
It is a very valuable way to contribute ideas, celebrate successes, share views and make suggestions for improvements.
The outcomes from Parent Forum discussions will be shared with the School Leadership Team (SLT) and Governors, to feed into the decision-making process, that determines our policies and procedures.
To foster an active partnership between home and school
To support children’s learning and welfare
To improve communication
To act as a ‘sounding board’, gain feedback and represent the voice of parents
To share information, knowledge and skills
To suggest and support aspects of school improvement
Any parent is welcome to join any Parent Forum meeting.
Members of the School Senior Leadership Team (SLT) join meetings too and Governors are welcome to attend.
The Forum gives parents an opportunity to get together, on a regular basis, to meet members of staff and give your views on what the school is doing well and suggest ideas about how things could be improved.
So come along and have your say!
Parents are always welcome to attend Forum meetings and, alternatively, you can email the school on office@firslower.org with your view or question regarding an issue, or pop a note in the suggestion box in the reception area. We want to hear your views, so we can work together to improve.
Please download the pdf below, to see some of the outcomes from the work of the Parent Forum... we are working together to achieve our best!
