Important Notice: We Are a Nut-Free School ! 🚫🥜

The health and safety of our children is our highest priority. We have a number of pupils and staff members in our school community with nut allergies. Sometimes, the risks can be severe or even life threatening.

For some individuals, even the slightest contact with nuts—whether through eating, touching a surface with nut oil traces, or breathing in airborne particles—can trigger a severe anaphylactic shock.

To keep all of our children safe, if you decide to send in a snack for your child and/or a packed lunch, instead of them having a school dinner, please do not include any nuts or nut-based products.

❌ Items to AVOID sending into school:

Please check packaging closely before packing lunches, as many common items contain hidden allergens:

  • Spreads: Peanut butter, almond butter, and chocolate hazelnut spreads (like Nutella).
  • Snacks: Cereal bars, granola bars, and muesli bars containing nuts.
  • Treats: Cakes, biscuits, cookies, or chocolate bars (like Snickers) that list nuts in the ingredients.
  • Savoury items: Whole/chopped nuts, sesame seed products (like hummus or seeded rolls), and certain sauces (like satay or pesto).

🔍 Check the Labels

Please take a moment to read the allergy advice on food labels. If a product says it "contains nuts" or "may contain peanuts/nuts", please keep it at home.

Thank you for helping us to keep all our children safe.
