Yr3 Forest Schools November 2015
During their Forest School sessions, Year 3 produced bug hotels, bird cake and completed a bug hunt. They have learnt new skills including whittling elder and creating a Forest school shower curtain!
All children completed a timed scavenger hunt, within the school grounds, resulting in the children creating beautiful Autumn images, using a variety of natural materials. They worked individually or in small groups to produce their chosen image. The images ranged from 3D trees to giant acorns! During another session, the children examined and handled a variety of seashells. This prompted discussions surrounding sea creatures and the seashore, ending in a challenge to create images of UK native creatures either land or sea dwelling.
All children completed and achieved their Forest School challenges brilliantly and enjoyed working within our outdoor classroom .
