Yr2 Forest Schools Summer 2017
Cedar and Beech class scavenged in the school grounds for natural materials to recreate a scene from their free time. They shared their experiences with their peers, chatting happily and enjoying being outside the classroom. The children made a variety of scenes ranging from a beach to a paddling pool, a football match to a campsite complete with tents and umbrellas.
This week Cedar discussed the summer solstice and the beliefs and magic surrounding it.
The children worked hard in the flower garden to create a fairy dwelling. We had a wonderful range of ideas and the children spoke confidently, sharing their favourite design feature. The fairies can now choose from a slide, seashell furniture or a sage leaf bed with lavender ceiling!
