Remembrance Service
Honouring and Remembering Together
On Sunday 9th November, members of our School Council proudly represented The Firs at the Ampthill Remembrance Parade and the service at The Cenotaph.
Everyone showed great respect and behaved so sensibly throughout the event — we are really proud of them all!
A special well done goes to our Year 4 School Councillors, who had the important job of laying our school’s wreath during the service. They were a little nervous as the crowd watched, but when the time came, they did an amazing job and represented The Firs beautifully.
Then, on Tuesday 11th November, we held a minute’s silence in school to remember all those who have served and sacrificed. Our pupils were incredibly respectful and thoughtful as we reflected together.
Thank you to all our School Councillors and everyone at The Firs for showing such care and respect during this special time of remembrance.
