This week, Year 1 were delighted to welcome Mrs Ramaloo, who visited to share how her family celebrates Diwali. The children were fascinated by the beautiful traditional clothes, colourful decorations, and sparkling diya lamps she brought to show us.

As part of their learning, the children also had the opportunity to create their own diya lamps using clay. They thoroughly enjoyed this hands-on activity and were very proud of their finished designs. It was a wonderful way to explore the traditions and celebrations of Diwali!
