KS1 Tag Rugby Festival

We were so excited to be able to start attending RSSP Sports festivals again!

Twelve of our Year 1 and Year 2 children were selected to represent The Firs at The Redborne Schools Sports Partnership, RSSP, KS1 Tag Rugby Festival, the first sporting event we have been able to attend for two years!

The children had a fantastic time at Parkfields School in Toddington, taking part in a round-robin of various rugby skill based activities, focusing on ball handling, foot skills, speed and tagging.

The Redborne Sports Leaders complimented our children on their lovely behaviour, concentration and team spirit, as well as their willingness and eagerness to try something new.

As this was our first sports outing for quite some time, the children were the first to wear our new 'Firs Hoodies', which we purchased out of our Sports Premium allowance, they looked very smart!

Please browse our KS1 Tag Rugby Festival Photo Album, to see how much the children enjoyed their day.
