Firs Fund It Update
Fundraising refocused to provide school library
Welcome to the fourth edition of the Firs 'Fund It' update.Building update The building project is nearing completion and Hazel and Elm class will move into their brand new classrooms after half term. It will be wonderful for year 3 to finally have its own classroom block. Mrs Willis, Miss Munns, Mrs Miller and Mrs Harrison and all the year 3 pupils are looking forward to moving in. We would like to extend our thanks to all our parents for your patience whilst this project was in progress. Thank you also to all our Hazel class and Kids Club children and parents for sharing the Hollows building and working so well together. These plans will release the present Elm classroom so that the school can now begin to realise its dream to redesign this area into a Library and group space. We are sure that all parents will agree that this will be a brilliant facility that will benefit all the children at The Firs. Your fundraising has already helped us build the second year 3 classroom which wasn’t funded by the EFA, but we still need your support. Whilst we managed to generate sufficient funds to build the new classrooms, we still need to continue to raise funds so that we can fit out our new library space. The PTA have very generously offered to donate once again this year to this project and some of their fundraising events are listed below. |
