Speech and Language Support

If you have any concerns regarding your child's speech and language development, please speak to the child's class teacher or alternatively, contact your health visitor or doctor.

The school has access to the NHS Speech and Language therapy service. Referrals can be made to this service through Ms Gamble, who will liaise with the attached speech and language therapist. 

If your child is in need of further support from the Speech and Language Therapy Team they will be set speech targets that can be worked on both at home and school.

Speech and Language interventions take the form of small group or individual sessions.  The speech and language programme set is then assessed and evaluated by the speech and language therapy team.  Sessions within school are currently run by Ms Gamble and a trained teaching assistant who liaise with the speech and language therapists.
